Community Guidelines

Effective Date: March 27, 2026

Tokyofishmarket communities are fan-driven spaces organized around fandoms. Every fandom on our platform may have its own community where members can share content, discuss, vote, and contribute to the collective knowledge base. These guidelines apply to all community activity across the platform.

1. Eligibility and Membership

You must have a Tokyofishmarket account in good standing to participate in communities. By joining a community, you agree to follow both these platform-wide guidelines and any additional rules set by the community moderators. Moderators may restrict membership or participation at their discretion, subject to these guidelines.

2. Content You Can Post

Communities support multiple content types including text posts, media posts, links, polls, versus polls, and quizzes. All content must be relevant to the community fandom. You may tag your media posts with labels such as fan art or AI-generated content.

  • Text, images, videos, links, and embedded GIFs are permitted within the size and format limits set by the platform.
  • Polls, versus comparisons, and quizzes must be genuine engagement tools, not spam or vote manipulation attempts.
  • AI-generated content must be clearly labeled as such using the provided media tags. Failing to disclose AI-generated content is a violation of these guidelines.

3. Prohibited Content

The following content is strictly prohibited across all communities:

  • Harassment, threats, hate speech, or targeted attacks against any individual or group.
  • Content that sexualizes minors in any form, real or fictional.
  • Spam, repetitive posting, vote manipulation, or artificial engagement.
  • Malware, phishing links, or any content designed to compromise user security.
  • Doxxing or sharing personal information of others without their explicit consent.
  • Impersonation of other users, moderators, licensors, or Tokyofishmarket staff.
  • Commercial spam, unauthorized advertising, or solicitation.
  • Content that violates applicable laws, including but not limited to copyright, trademark, and defamation laws.

4. NSFW Content

NSFW content is only permitted in communities that have been explicitly designated as NSFW by their moderators. Even within NSFW communities, content that sexualizes minors is strictly prohibited without exception. Users under the age of majority are not permitted to access NSFW communities. Tokyofishmarket reserves the right to reclassify any community as NSFW or restrict NSFW content at its sole discretion.

5. Image and Media Uploads

When uploading images, videos, or other media to a community, you represent and warrant that:

  • You own the content or have obtained all necessary rights and permissions to upload and share it.
  • The content does not infringe on the intellectual property rights of any third party, including copyrights, trademarks, and publicity rights.
  • Fan art, fan edits, and derivative works are shared at your own risk. Tokyofishmarket processes DMCA takedown requests and will remove infringing content upon valid notice.
  • You grant Tokyofishmarket a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and store your uploaded content within the platform for the purpose of operating the community features. This license ends when you delete the content.

Media uploads are subject to size and format restrictions enforced by the platform. Attempts to bypass these restrictions may result in account action.

6. Collection Showcases

Users can showcase items from their personal collections within communities. When uploading collection photos:

  • Photos must depict items you actually own. Misrepresenting ownership is a violation of these guidelines.
  • Do not use official promotional images, press photos, or manufacturer stock photos as your own collection photos.
  • Items may be submitted for community-based authentication. Authentication results are informational only and do not constitute a professional appraisal or guarantee of authenticity.

7. Canonical Data Contributions

Communities may contribute to and edit canonical entries in the Tokyofishmarket database, including but not limited to character profiles, universe timelines, fandom metadata, and related reference data. By contributing canonical data, you agree that:

  • All contributions become part of the Tokyofishmarket platform and are licensed to Tokyofishmarket for use across the service.
  • Contributions must be factually accurate to the best of your knowledge. Deliberately introducing false or misleading information is a violation.
  • Tokyofishmarket and community moderators reserve the right to review, edit, revert, or reject any contribution.
  • Edit wars, repeated reverts, or attempts to manipulate canonical data for personal or commercial gain will result in the suspension of editing privileges.
  • Canonical data sourced from copyrighted materials must be factual and descriptive. Do not copy verbatim text from official sources, wikis, or other copyrighted databases.

8. Moderation

Each community has moderators who enforce community-specific rules in addition to these platform-wide guidelines. Moderators may:

  • Remove or edit content that violates rules.
  • Mute, restrict, or ban members from their community.
  • Set and enforce additional community-specific rules.
  • Manage banned words, URLs, and content filters for their community.

Moderator actions are logged in an audit trail. If you believe a moderation action was taken in error, you may use the reporting system to escalate to Tokyofishmarket staff. Moderators themselves are bound by these guidelines and may lose their privileges if they abuse their position.

9. Reporting and Disputes

If you encounter content or behavior that violates these guidelines, use the built-in reporting tools to flag it. Reports are reviewed by community moderators and, when appropriate, by Tokyofishmarket staff. Filing repeated false reports or abusing the reporting system is itself a violation and may result in account restrictions.

10. Gamification and Progression

Communities include gamification features such as experience points, levels, badges, trophies, streaks, leaderboards, quests, and virtual pets. These features are designed to reward genuine participation. Any attempt to exploit, manipulate, or game these systems through automated means, alt accounts, or coordinated abuse will result in the removal of earned rewards and potential account suspension.

11. Direct Messages

Community members may send direct messages to other members within the same community. All messaging is subject to the same content rules as public posts. Unsolicited commercial messages, harassment through DMs, or using messages to circumvent community bans are prohibited.

12. Enforcement

Violations of these guidelines may result in one or more of the following actions, at the sole discretion of Tokyofishmarket:

  • Content removal.
  • Temporary or permanent muting of commenting privileges.
  • Community-level bans.
  • Platform-wide account suspension or termination.
  • Removal of gamification rewards, badges, and progression history.
  • Referral to law enforcement where applicable.

Tokyofishmarket reserves the right to modify these guidelines at any time. Continued participation in communities after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated guidelines.
