Trust & Reputation

Trust is earned, not given. Here's how the system works and how to level up.

How trust works here

Every seller starts at the same place. Your trust tier increases as you complete successful transactions, ship on time, maintain low incident rates, and engage with the community. The system rewards consistency — not just volume.

Seller tiers

  • Newcomer — Just joined. Build trust through your first successful sales. All listings go through review
  • Regular — Consistent activity and clean history. Faster listing approval
  • Trusted — Established reputation with a strong track record. Priority visibility in search
  • Verified — Identity verified through enhanced KYC. Badge displayed on all listings
  • Official Licensor — Reserved for rights holders and authorized representatives. Highest trust signal on the platform

What affects your score

  • Completion rate — orders fulfilled vs. orders cancelled
  • Shipping speed — how quickly you ship after a sale
  • Incident rate — claims filed against your listings (rolling 90-day window)
  • Response time — how fast you reply to buyer messages
  • Listing accuracy — how often your items match their descriptions
  • Account age and total transactions

What higher tiers unlock

  • Auto-publish listings (no manual review needed)
  • Featured placement in search results and recommendations
  • Lower commission rates on subscription plans
  • Priority support for disputes and account issues
  • Verified badge visible on every listing
  • Access to advanced analytics and market data tools

Verification process

Individual sellers verify through Stripe Connect's standard KYC (government ID + bank account). Professional sellers go through enhanced verification including business documentation. The process varies by country (Japan, US, Canada, Korea, China, France). Stripe handles all compliance requirements — we never store your identity documents.

Recovering from a bad period

Everyone has off days. Incident rates are calculated on a rolling 90-day window, not lifetime. A few bad transactions won't permanently damage your reputation if you get back on track. The system is designed to reward improvement, not punish forever.
