Communities
Fandom spaces built by fans, for fans. Here's how they work.
How do I join a community?
Find a community through search, the community hub, or product pages (every product links to its fandom's community). Click Join and you're in immediately. No approval needed for public communities. NSFW communities require age verification. You can join as many communities as you want.
Can I create my own community?
Yes. Go to Communities > Create. Choose a name, category, description, set your rules, and you're live. You're the admin — you set the content policy, appoint mods, configure AutoMod filters, and design the space. Fan communities are the most common type, but brands and creators can also apply for verified official communities.
How do posts and voting work?
Posts can include text, images, polls, and links. Other members vote posts up or down — higher-voted content rises to the top. You earn XP for posting and receiving upvotes. Comments work the same way. There's no algorithm deciding what you see — it's pure community-driven ranking.
Who moderates communities?
Each community is self-governed. The admin appoints moderators who enforce the community's rules. AutoMod handles spam, slurs, and basic content filtering automatically. TFM staff only steps in for platform-wide policy violations or appeals that can't be resolved at the community level. For the full breakdown, check our Community Moderation guide.
How do I report something?
Click the flag icon on any post, comment, profile, or message. Select a category (harassment, spam, NSFW, etc.), add a note if you want, and submit. Reports go to community mods first, then escalate to TFM staff if needed. You can report anonymously — the person you report won't know who flagged them.
