Returns & Refunds

We want you to be happy with your order. If something's wrong, we'll make it right. Here's how returns and refunds work at Tokyofishmarket.
Return window
You have 30 days from delivery to request a return. After that, we can't accept it. To start a return, contact us with your order number and a description of the issue — we'll get back to you within 48 hours.
What's eligible
- Items that arrived damaged or defective
- Wrong item received
- Item significantly not as described
- Sealed items in original packaging — unopened and in the same condition you received them
What's not eligible
- Items opened or used beyond inspection
- Pre-order items after the pre-order window has closed
- Items damaged by the customer
- Buyer's remorse — we can't accept returns because you changed your mind
How it works
- Email us at support@tokyofishmarket.com with your order number and photos of the issue
- We review your request and issue a Return Authorization (RA) number within 48 hours
- Ship the item back in its original packaging with all included accessories
- Once we receive and inspect the return, we process your refund within 5 business days
Refund method
Refunds go back to your original payment method — the same card or account you used at checkout. Processing time depends on your bank but typically takes 3 to 10 business days after we approve it.
Shipping costs
- If the return is our fault (damaged, defective, wrong item) — we cover return shipping
- If it's a standard return (sealed, unused) — you cover return shipping
- Original shipping fees are refunded only when the issue is on our end
Exchanges
We don't do direct exchanges. If you want a different item, return the original for a refund and place a new order. This keeps things fast and simple for both of us.
Damaged or lost in transit
- Contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the damage and packaging
- We file a claim with the carrier and keep you updated throughout the process
- If the item is confirmed lost, we send a replacement or issue a full refund — your choice
Store credit
In some cases, we may offer store credit instead of a refund — especially when a replacement isn't available due to limited stock. Store credit never expires and can be used on any future order.
Abuse policy
We're generous with returns because we trust our customers. Fraudulent or repeated abusive claims will result in account suspension. We reserve the right to refuse future orders from addresses with a pattern of incidents.
